Re: food for my dubias
I grind up Honey Nut Cheerios, corn meal and oat meal for mine, I also put fish flake food and sometimes calcium powder in it, they tear it up and my colony has grown like crazy, I will never run out of roaches for my one bearded dragon....

I also heard when you do fresh food to be careful and not keep it in there long, you don’t want it to mold, that could wipe out your whole colony

Yes with the fruit rinds I only have them in for a day or so before replacing them. Fortunately I like to eat a lot of fruit so it's no hardship.

I have been using the Repashy bug burger for all my feeder insects along with vegetables, grain, and limited fruit. I like the breakdown of ingredients in the 'bug burger'.
With roaches - you should be careful regarding their protein intake. It is known that roaches fed a high protein diet for too long can build up a concerning amount of uric acid, which is implicated in causing maladys in some reptiles.

I used to grind up dog food and plain Cheerios for mine. Then I would give them oranges in addition to that. They really seemed to enjoy the oranges, my population seemed to boom when I added oranges to their diet.
