Yeah, she's the same one. She was my second BP. Our new giant BEL girl is the same way. She was a pet and got a lot of attention and has zero fear of humans. Unfortunately her owner loved her so much that he overfed her and she's way overweight (around 3200 grams at just 3 years old). Hopefully she won't have any medical issues because she's extremely fun to handle (more like a boa than a ball python).

More disappointment. One out of our remaining three eggs died with just 10 days left until hatch day. I cut the other two just in case and they both appear to be alive and well. Sadly, the one that died may have been a piebald, thus proving our Lavender Albino 66% het pied who we had bred to our het piebald girl. It appeared to have a white body with a dark head, though the body was deformed and wouldn't uncurl when I tried to pull it out of the egg. The remaining two appear to be normals (that will be het for lavender albino and 50% het for pied).

This clutch was a gamble, but I'm pretty sure out Lavender albino boy is het for pied. May keep him as a backup and prove him out later. I'm not sure what went wrong with the clutch. Our het pied was a relatively new arrival and was just out of quarantine when we started pairing her, so maybe she just wasn't fully settled yet. Anyways, here's to the two survivors!

So sadly the entire first clutch was a bust. One of the remaining two came out missing an eye and with a deformed lip. We'll see if she is able to eat, but I'm not that hopeful for her. The last remaining egg was horribly kinked and deformed and was unable to get its head out from the egg, so it died. Only positive side to this was I'm fairly certain one of the eggs that died prior to hatching had a piebald in it (was a distinctly white body with a normal pattern head), which means that my lavender boy is definitely het for pied. We'll give Sonia some extra time off before trying to breed her again.

Did you have temperature issues with your incubator? Sounds like something went awry with the incubator to me.

My incubator is rock solid and egg tub was a constant 89 degrees and 100% humidity the whole time. No water got on the eggs either. Not sure what caused it to fail. In fact the only survivor came out a weird looking boob egg. The last good looking egg wad horribly kinked.
