Congrats on the new guy! Boas can definitely be a little uncertain about being set down since they're semi-arboreal: they feel like they're falling! You basically gotta make it seem like their idea.

Ain't that the truth! The only way I can get him back in his enclosure is by aiming his head at his hide entrance. If I don't do that ,he constricts the crap outta my arm and darts his head around frantically.

LOL Anubis does exactly that but she’s barely 3ft and maybe now 400g but man she’s gaining weight QUICK and I’m not stuffing her like a turkey (well cept this past week I fed her twice cause my BEL didn’t feed so she got it, not like it’s gonna bother her, she’s getting rat pups still, I wanna keep her on them till everyone is up to weaned rats then I’ll move her up. That won’t be for a while though.

Very much! I fed all my snakes and my normal gir only ate one of the 2 that was for her and I didn't want to house it so I tossed a rat pup in with him and he ate it. I didn't attempt to get a picture because it was so small I could hardly see it. Debo couldn't even coil around it so he just used his mouth to suffocate the rat by clamping his jaws on it for a good 5 minutes and then a quick gulp an it was over
