    Is this scale rot?

I went to check on my snake today and I was surprised there was poop in his hide cuz his poop doesn’t smell at all but I’m worried he might have scale rot cuz he was on it I don’t know how long he’s been on it but most likely no longer than a week If that at all

It’s hard to get a pic cuz he’s stubborn
There’s like brown on the right l

Or is that just poop stuck on him?

I just wanna make sure since I’ve never seen scale rot but I know it takes a long time for it to develop? Just wanna make sure and

He’s also been on it so he kinda smells like poop do I just soak him?

Looks like a dirty belly to me. Have you tried wiping it with a paper or cloth towel?
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Looks like a dirty belly and possibly a start to a shed under the dirty belly lol. Looks a little pink too.

I did and the stubborn dirt or poop don’t come off it’s under the scales possibly? I soaked to loosen it gently tried to wipe off after but decided to leave him alone the shed should get it right? But it’s not scale rot? That’s all that’s important

I’m alittle upset that his poop doesn’t smell how am I gonna know

You will get at least one that will stink. Boople has been with me a year and one night the stench woke me up. I actually thought my cat pooped in my room in a smelly shoe. I woke up and looked everywhere in the room only to find boople was the one who pooped lol. She hasn't had a stinky one since.
