    Coconut Picture Thread

Introducing my new BP - after months of getting everything set up - Coconut!!! She's a Cinnamon Butter Double Het Hypo/ Het G-Stripe (possible Enchi). Long story short, I'm absolutely in love with her. She is literally the calmest, most curious little baby I've ever seen. She hasn't balled up at all and she's always stretching out or moving around. One funny little thing is she really likes to rest her face on my nose and just leave it there, it's adorable.

    Her nose thing:

Shayna is also very calm and curious. Has been since I got her at 200G. She's now about 4FT and 1500G (after fasting for 5 months until last weekend - she is normally about 1600G).

If I had a dollar for every time she feel asleep on me while I was holding her! She is so chill. One time she feel asleep in my palm. After about ten minutes, I had to move my hand, woke her, and she had the cutest yawn!

Anyway, congrats! Enjoy your beautiful new addition!

I showed a picture to my Dad since Coconut is such an adorable name, and his response was: "Is she hiding all the time? Because maybe she's a bit coconut shy!"

So pretty. I love when they do the nose thing. Odyn does this as well as one of my snakes at work.

Such a lovely snake. Love her shimmer. I love it when they are so chill and easy to handle. I wish Miss Snow would chill a little. She has 3 modes when being handled.

    1) Scared ball.
    2) Defensive biting.
    3) Run away.

My other 2 are super chill. Who knows if Miss snow will chill with handling. I hope so.

Lucy will slowly periscope up to my nose, lick it, and then recoil like she just tasted acid. I wonder if it's the heat from our noses that attracts them.

Her first time out of her hide!!! (To my knowledge, I'm not watching her 24/7)
She got a little spooked since my whole family ran in to look at her, the retreat was super cute too. I feel a bit bad but she does need to get used to our presence.

She will get used to it more. However, BP's are shy snakes and may prefer to hide when she see you (often anyway). Her first thought is going to be "protect myself," and then maybe, "okay, just family."

Don't take it personally! They do get braver as they get older, and it's really good she is so social and exploratory when out. However, she may not be particularly social until she is out and about and realizes you are not going to hurt her.

Awesome you are so excited with your new addition.

When you get chance get some fake silk/plastic plants or foliage from the local garden centre or poundshop / dollarshop .. They give the snakes a sense of security and enhance the general look of the enclosure ..
