Oh boy what's this?
I don't post a lot of pictures of this girl.
She is my son's normal. "Hunter" is her name. She will be 7 years old in late July.
She is the "gateway snake" and the snake that got me interested in the hobby.
She's a nice girl.

Good looking Normal Gio. As you know, I prefer Mother Nature paint jobs.
I believe that this is only the second time that I have seen pics of your BP!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

That lighting really brings out the gold! Wow, one of my favorite morphs for sure. Black and gold! “Normal” is the worst morph name, we need to start a new movement calling them “black and golds”. They are stunning.

Wow... That is an amazing looking normal! If you wouldn't have said she was just a normal I would have thought she had VPI Axanthic in her or something as vibrant as she is!

Re: Oh boy what's this?
Nice normal! I started with a normal and was hooked!
Someone posted a while ago on my thread for Shayna (my Albino Spider BP) that they wished they could afford beautiful morphs and had a normal. I told them, "the snake doesn't know it's not a morph!"
I think my favorite thing about Shayna is her personality. She is so calm and sweet, but also shy. Especially shy when eating.
I also have a "normal" Blue Tongue Skink, Frank, who is gorgeous as is, but he's awesome because of his personality and attitude!
I think it's awesome to have morphs too, and they can be amazing and beautiful, but all in in all I want a happy and healthy animal. That's priority one.
Secondly, having a morph that you like is great, especially if it helps your enthusiasm and gets other people interested as well. My niece (now 7) adores Shayna as her favorite color is yellow. Shayna got her into reptiles and now she loves them, snakes especially. So, that's great. I admit, I always wanted an Albino BP, but when I was kid and had a normal, they were way too expensive to even consider (1990).
I rambled here, but all snakes deserve love and care (especially the care, not sure how much they need the love ).
If a normal got you interested in snakes and keeping them, awesome! There's beauty in that snake and beauty in that story.
Thank you for posting.

GORGEOUS !!! Beautiful animal.
I love normals and I find "normals" prettier then some of the morphs.
That said, all morphs (in their basic form) originated in the wild, by nature Humans took those "different" ones and bred them to other "different" ones to come up with "crazy" ones
Even in normals, there is a HUGE variation, at least as much as with morphs. I have seen all kinds of colors from softer browns and gold, to stark bright black and gold. I've seen banded, swirly, dotty, lots of alien heads, almost none and my own personal favorite, a very "leopard morph" kind of wild pattern.
That is the Beauty of the Ball Python, no matter what morph (or not) there is a HUGE variety, and they are just beautiful snakes.
I love the back ground with that snake. You should try to make more pictures like that, perhaps without the seams in them. Makes for a wicked cool picture.
