    Champ the Dumerils Boa

Hi all. I’ve been following the forum for quite a while and decided to try and post a couple mediocre pics of boy . Sorry they aren’t the best quality, I’m a horrible photographer, lol. He’s a typical Dumerils, sweet as can be. He was born 6/18/14 and he joined my little reptile family at 2 months of age. I also have an Irian Jaya and JCP, a BP, and an Okeetee Corn . Anyways thanks for looking.

    Re: Champ the Dumerils Boa

I’ll post a few more pics of Sammy in the proper corn snake forum, thanks again for the compliments on Champ, he’s an amazing guy. He’s approx 52 in and is on 100-120g f/t rats every 3 weeks. He lives in a older 4x2x16 Neodesha with belly heat for an 85* hot spot and 60 watt CHE for ambient heat. Substrate is a mix of peat and cypress mulch deep enough to burrow in. Humidity is pretty consistent @ 60%. Never turns down a meal and has complete one piece sheds.

Thanks Scooter, they are definitely cool boas, my personal favorite, though my experience with other boas is pretty limited to be honest. I hope you do get another one soon. It’s always great to talk with other keepers and see pics. Gotta love the Dums pics!

I like Champ, a good name for a beautiful Dum.

I have wanted a Dum for few years now, but it seems other snakes come first. I just can’t stay away from those Aussies.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
