So this happened...
The feeding response on this guy never fails to astound me. Tonight, he took the head right off this quail! After he’d finished, I laid the head on top of one of his hides, because there was no way I was going to try to tong feed my monster something that small! Checked in a bit ago...and no head! He is such a piglet!

Hahahaha, wasteful he is not! That was also his third prey item (I was trying to use the last of my f/t rat pinks, but they were way too small for him)! He’s such a beast when it comes to food. Not sure I’ll be able to get tongs long enough to keep a safe distance when he’s big!
