    Its been a while

Since ive gotten tagged. Yesterday was feeding day and a few of our males get over eager. Dont think anything of it, we use tongs to drop/dangle the prey, but Pascal was way too eager and leapt out of the tub the moment i opened it, got my hand good. He let go immediately after realizing it was me not the food.

Mum came in to the room and was like what happened? Then she saw the blood. Its amazing how much you can bleed from it.

Thats the morning after (right now) i dont keep my phone on me when dealing with the snakes unless im planning on taking pictures, and couldn't get it last night cuz i had 31 other snakes to feed.

It happens. Just comes with keeping snakes. I've had that happen too. I bought longer hemostats to feed off. Not a fan of getting tagged.

    Hope you survived the ordeal

I got bit by a fairly big redtail boa in the same area. Only her mouth was bigger

Her top jaw was on top of my hand, bottom jaw got the bottom of my hand. Her top teeth pierced the big blood vein on top of my hand and it bled like crazy. Also bled internally and the top of my hand had a golfball sized swelling within seconds (all blood).

    It stung a bit

My hand turned all kinds of colors over the next 2 weeks and I picked a couple of teeth out a few days into it..

    So yeah, no fun

I got tagged pretty well by about a 1600 gram girl a couple of weeks ago. I still have the shape of both her upper and lower jaws made by her teeth on my hand. She just shed out, so she wasn't anywhere near as bad this week, now about for some of my other bigger girls, that was another question...
