Anyone have a magic method of removing urates stuck in cage corners?

Even though I clean my cages and replace the paper substrate as soon as I notice poo or urates, I had a boa years ago that my buddy ended up taking off my hands for breeding purposes and she was notorious for going right in the corner of the cage. Boa urates seem so have a half cement/half chalk like quality when they sit for even a few hours lol.

So now when I pulled out the T8 she used to call home, I have some urates stuck in the corners. Windex, bleach water, lysol....nothing seems to do a fantastic job of removing them completely. Anyone have a special remedy for old urate removal?

I use a little paint scraper and elbow grease when this happens.

I actually took a wood chisel to them and still can't remove them completely! I was hoping there's some kind of magic cleaner than just melts them but maybe not.

I'm a little ocd when I see white urates on a black cage because they stand out so much....if I had to do it all over I would've ordered white AP cages I guess.

I used to think the same but now that I have white cages I am hating the poop stains. XD
Yeah I've tried long water soaks, bleach soaks but the scraper so far has worked the best. It's really annoying, you'd think it wouldn't be so hard to get off.

Come to think of it, when I had her I think I used an old butter knife but it's still a pain. Man, if someone made a urate liquefier I would be a customer for life. Poo doesn't even bother me but a stuck urate is the worst.Chip it away and use a quarter roll of paper towel to clean up the mess

Humm maybe white cages aren't so great after all. In a perfect world I would coat the bottom of AP cages in epoxy resin to prevent staining and round out the corners to prevent stuck urates....if only I had the time lol.

I use an old credit card, that seems to get it scraped off pretty well

I let F10SC soak on it for about 15 mins or so, then just scrub it with a paper towel. Takes some time but it does come up eventually. My retics piss seems worse. That stuff not only is like cement but it literally stains the PVC floor lol. It's like jesus Caesar, you pissing battery acid or what?

Vinegar, let it sit for a couple minutes and it should come free pretty easy. The acidic nature of it helps to solubilize the urea.
