I thought maybe he could’ve pooped it out too but it was 2 weeks after his previous meal that he was weighed. And then weighed about a month later again when I noticed the weight drop. And no I didn’t put it in wet (???) it’s dry and loose substrate...

Yes i I tried a mouse again, but he had already been accepting rats.
I have tried eco earth in the beginning but had an even worse humidity prom led, which led me to switch to the aspen in the first place, but I can try again with that.
Ive only handles him twice since he stopped eating and that was only because I wanted him to still feel comfortable it’s me holding him since it had been so long, and to weigh him, but I will stop until he eats.
I agree with MD_Pythons. If eco earth isn't working for you, try cypress mulch. I use cypress mulch too (never used eco earth) and I'm very happy with it.

Ok so with the humidity issue tackled. What should I do about the heat? The surface temp is WAY a different that the ambient temp. Is that a problem? And should I have two lamps with ceramic bulbs with different temps? And should they be on day/night timers? Or should I just have one ceramic heater bulb that’s on 24/7?

No thats not a problem now that you have explained the substrate temps are on point. Dont let the Hot Hide go above 88/91 degrees. They make Thermostats that operate 2 sources. Thats what most of us run. Herpstat 2 etc.. The number is how many sources it runs. If you dont have a Thermostat when the house warms up (Spring/Summer time) that Hot Hide can easily get up to 110-120-140 and thats Brain Damage temps.
Ps: one CHE or Bulb and 1 UTH. If you add more heat lamps they will dry the tank out to nothing.
