    Gunnie, Granite IJ carpet progression

I recently saw a tiger jag coastal on morphmarket thatcaught my attention so I started to look into carpets.

This past weekend I was working a booth at repticon. Onlytwo snakes there really caught my eye. One was an Anery Honduran milk at avendors booth I knew. The other was a really dark Granite IJ female in a booth acrossfrom mine. Midday on Sunday I told the booth that if the granite IJ was stillthere the end of the day I may be interested. The end of the day rolls around, and being courteous I decide to let him know that I was going to pass so hecould start packing up. That’s when he hits me with an offer that was belowwhat my end of show offer would have been. Since this thread thread is now up youcan probably guess what I did. The booth was Jason Baylin from East CoastSerpents. I didn’t know his name at the time but after doing some more researchit appears he has a good reputation in the Morelia community and makes some nice carpets.

This is the progression thread for my new girl Gunnie.

More than likely was the same person. The few times I could walk around I only noticed liked 4 vendors with carpets. Most of them had a limited selection but that was all he had and they seemed to be quality animals. He was set up towards the back middle of the show.

idk much about Carpets but that is a stellar-looking animal! it looks so exotic, even for a snake. the head size to neck ratio is hilarious tho hahaha.

    congrats!!!

Gorgeous ! They get that curl up like a tree boa almost...

do so they have big teeth like one ? Lol. Someone posted an X-ray if one and it was scary.

I keep hearing people talk about carpets. Seems like they are active and with good handling can make nice pets. Would you agree ?

She seems to spend about half the time on the ground and the other half of the time she is perched like that. She is still young and very nippy in defense. I don't know what an adults teeth feel like, but all I can tell you is that she does have some teeth. I cant decide if I like carpets or dwarf retics more. The carpets are nice because humidity isn't as much of an issue. I know some people look down on hybrids but I'm really wanting a carpondro (carpet & gtp) for some reason.

Not as bad as a tree boa, but this got my attention! (IIRC Bruce missed a strike at his rat). And they definitely do the perching thing.
