    Ball python Burrowing Question

My ball python is currently digging a hole in the corner of his terreriam and he has almost made himself a den like burrow. I just want to make sure he’s not going to cave the hole in and suffocate or get stuck in the burrow.

Lol! You don't have anything to worry about. My ball, brb, and hoggy have all borrowed without issue. My hoggy creates tunnels all through her substrate. I keep it deep just for her to do that.

He'll be fine. BPs will do anything to hide and make themselves feel secure.

One of my ball pythons does the same thing. You can clearly see the trenches she digs during her nightly wanderings. I have never seen the other two ball pythons I own do it though.

What are you using for substrate?

I like when they burrow, it looks cozy. I give them extra substrate to make a little burrow in. They usually make one in their hide where they can rest against the hotspot.
