Bp’s scales yellowing? Is this normal?
I’ve had my blue eyed Lucy for about two months now. He’s been doing great and is always eager for his meal. This is my first snake, so I still am a bit unsure what to look for in terms of shedding or if something is off. I noticed today that my ball looked really yellow. He’s normally pure white, and I’m not sure what the cause of this yellow hue could be. When i fed him two days ago he was white, and now he looks like he got yellow dye all over his scales. Just wanted to know what the cause of this could be? Is this common before a shed?

I don't own a BEL, so I can't speak for those, but my snake's belly gets super pink, and her sides get dark and have a yellow-ish tint to them. She's a dark snake, though, and being in shed really brings out the browns in her.
Do you have any pictures you could share of him? Also, what substrate are you using? Some of them have been known to dye lighter colored snakes, but that's usually only on the belly. You're probably right, since you'd have him for 2 months and no shed thus far.
For reference, on my snake, not in shed:
Early stages of shed, pink belly stage:
(The pink's kind of hard to photograph, unfortunately :c)

I have a bel and he has some yellow on him it’s not much and in some lighting you can’t really tell but it’s actually quite normal depending on his parents morphs
