Re: Who has the Biggest Snake??

I think any one should post a picture of a old or just big any thing. So I'm posting two recent pictures of my now 18 year old Columbian red tail. I believe these were in December. I haven't officially measured him but I'm guessing he's around 9-10 feet.

He was gaining a bit of weight so I basically changed his feeding schedule to 1 jumbo rat every month and a half. Instead of 2 jumbo rats every month and a half. Luckily he has been fed sparingly for most of his life. Its probably one reason he's still alive and I believe doing just fine. I'm hoping he lives for another 20 years though I think that's a bit a stretch. But you never know.

Here's some older bonus pics. These were nov 2016.

No this isn't photo shopped. This is him dec 2015. And he was on the hefty side and looks like a Burmese python here. But really wasn't THAT big. This picture is kinda misleading. The quality of the picture is bad but I honestly don't think it really needs to be good cause his size is enough to speak for it self.

Quick back round on him. I got him back in may 2000. I was in the 8th grade. He's the last remnants of my old collection of colubrids and boids. And that's about it hoped you guys enjoyed the pics and the read.

I don't track my snake growth by length, I track it by weight. I'm sure this one is not the biggest on this forum but she is pretty big. I just took out Lucy last night and weighed her (with the help of a few friends). She is coming in at 36.6 pounds! She is a 50% dwarf (Jampea) 50% Mainland Clark white phase albino reticulated python. She is just over two years old. I'm trying to breed her this year, not sure if she will go or not yet but her follicles are 23 mm so there's hope. She is about all the snake I can handle by myself, still kind of freaks me out how fast she has grown and how big and solid she is in her midsection, she could easily give me a run for my money if she wanted to, but she is a really mellow snake most times, a real sweetheart. I for sure don't let her get wrapped around my neck or midsection!
