    Yellow belly or Gravel

    Hi everyone,

This beauty was sold as a super pastel yb or gravel. I am hoping you guys can help me get pin point what it is.

No one can. Gravel and yb look the same until you mix them for a highway or get a super

SOMETIMES gravels will have more belly flecking going on, but the super pastel may impact that and again just a sometimes. I've seen a few people claim they can tell the two apart- but they never say how. Basically until bred no way to know for sure.

I agree with you have to grow out and breed to know personally I would put to a yb first time. If you produce Ivorys it's yb. If highways then gravel. It's the only 100% way

I don't think anyone can 100% tell the difference between the two, you won't really know until you breed it. This is what keeps the price of a gravel and asphalt higher than the rest in the YB complex.

if Justin Koblyka can't tell the difference between a YB and Gravel/Asphalt, i doubt many can.

    ^ this.

anyway i would expect to see some hints of track along the belly if it had YB or Gravel, but the entire thing looks clean. i also think it's more super blushed rather than flamed. i'm not familiar w/ this combo tho. what was the pairing? and could we get a headshot?

I would pair it to an ivory not a single gene yellowbelly. You’ll have a better shot at knowing the truth on the first go. Ivory’s are pretty cheap so no real reason not to.
    Nothing
