Water Additives
I read that adding Vanilla may help with smelly pee, has anyone add another additive to a colony water? I wonder something like Ensure obviously not chocolate favor would bulk up the mice? Or Coconut milk?

Been there done that and it does not make a difference if you plan on a large colony, the secret to low smell:
No overcrowding
Feed of the males first
Regular cleaning
And the most important an exhaust fan.

Re: Water Additives
I read that Yellow Maca helps increase litter size because it helps the female mice immunity and increase the male libido but it is also very expensive per pound and only grow in the Andes.

Unnecessary if you have a good colony the average is 6 to 12 babies, I average 12 to 15 above that you would run in the issue of the female not being able to nurse them all, the keys are: having a strong colony to start with or build your way to it, selective breeding, proper sex ratio in the tub, early retirement especially for harem style breeding, and proper food.
I have been breeding feeders for a decade and I produce several thousands each year without any supplements.

Some breeders even give their mice filtered water, not sure that would make a difference.

I use a carbon filter and air fresheners, both help a lot.
