    Banana?

I picked up a little female banana from petsmart today. I know, I know shame on me, but at 50% off I couldn’t turn her down. She is my first banana and her coloring seems slightly different then the ones I’ve seen online. I realize there are variations in every morph, but I figured I’d post her up and get your thoughts and comments. She is tiny, 65 grams. They said she is feeding, although on mice fuzzies. Let me know what you think. https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/files/6/8/6/1/7/img

Looks like a banana to me but I do agree her color is off. Almost looks like she’s paled out, they are usually much more yellow. Could just be variance in the morph as you said. I’m not sure how much health affects color in ball pythons but I know in a lot of other animals it can. Get her weight up and once she’s nice and plump and healthy see if her color improves. Nice find anyway, if I didn’t already have a couple bananas, I would of had a hard time saying no if the price was right even at a pet store. Bananas are awesome! Good luck with her.

    Re: Banana?

She is skinny, they were feeding her mouse fuzzies. I offered her an adult mouse and she took it right away. Give me a month and she’ll be fat and happy. The only thing I’ve come across that looks close to her is a super banana, but I can’t believe my luck is that good. I’m just happy she’s a she and is eating.

Looks a bit like a banana mojave too, but it could easily be a light banana. You'll get to watch her colors change as she grows though.

I don’t agree, pastel bananas have much more blushing on the head. I’m pretty sure it’s just a dull banana but the color may improve once it’s eating a little better, it looks low on nutrition to me.
Here is my pastel banana for example

    Re: Banana?

hey i just recent bought a banana pastel, looks very similar to your snake. I too am having a hard time IDing it. It lacks all Yellow atm. I went to a local reptile store to buy a set up and was gonna order online but I loved this snake. Now they told me it was a banana pastel but after researching Im just not seeing any yellow so that can't be a banana.Ive found snakes that looksimilar "lavander snow" and the onlybanana pastel i find anywhere is about 3-4x price of that i paid.

Ive read Banana sometimes lack color til they age

    Re: Banana?

I'd post a pic with and without flash. To better compare, like mine it depends on the lighting, colors could pop or could look washed out and dull. This is my banana mojave.
