    What a year can do!

    Hi everyone!
I picked Wanda up for a cuddle today, and realized just how big she's getting! So I had a look back through my photos to when she was a baby and I can't believe how tiny she was!

So here's her last October, and her today:

    How cute right!

That's impressive growth, not sure I've ever seen a ball python grow that fast. How much do you feed and how often? Do you weigh your snake and the rodent to target a specific feeding weight?

Here's 11 months of progress with my 50% dwarf albino reticulated python, talk about growth WOW!

    Thank you everyone!

Aerries, my spider boy Cinnamon is about 2 years old and Wanda is bigger than him now! He's refusing food at the moment as well. My caramel boy Mars Bar is about the same age as Wanda (We adopted him so not 100% sure of age but we were told he's a cb16 baby) and he's tiny! He's probably about half the size of Wanda even though they're the same age. Mars Bar fasts A LOT though, he's had about three meals in the past four months. This is Wanda and Mars Bar, She's e1100g and he's e500g

Cchardwick, what a gorgeous snake! That growth puts my own to shame As for feeding, I like to go by width, and up until about a month ago Wanda was eating a large weaned rat every week, sometimes two if someone else refused. I only recently moved her up onto small rats since I didn't have enough LWRs for everyone, and it's been since then she's been on small rats every 7-9 days. She has only once refused a meal when switching from mice to rats, and she is ALWAYS HUNGRY.

Not really, your ball pythons growth is just as impressive, he cheated bringing retics into the competition lol, they are a whole different monster! I had my tiger up to 14’ at two years old. It’s not really fair to compare their growth.

Yea, retics grow super fast in the first year and slow way down, not really a valid comparison to ball pythons. Do you have the weights for that ball python before and after? I thought my ball pythons were growing fast but I don't have any that comes close to that.
