Anyone know any common bedding/substrate for ball pythons?

So I've ordered a bag of cocopeat onlone for my BP's enclosure bedding. It's pretty pricey though, so I was wondering what else can I use for bedding that's similar? I live in Indonesia, so everything ExoTerra and ZooMed is off the list. I was thinking wood shavings or maybe even wood ash, but I'll be happy to hear any opinions!

X2 for paper towels. Butchers paper works okay too as well as newsprint.
    Nothing

I'm currently using newspaper, but I'm trying to find something that's more comfortable for the snake (and mainly, something that looks better )

I know some people advise against this but you can just go to your backyard or a peticide free area and dig dirt straight out of the ground. You could even bake it if you're too worried. Ive done this for many years for many different reptiles and have seen no I'll effects.

Yes, yes, and yes some more. Reptile Prime is the way to go!

Newspaper isn't really uncomfortable to the snake, but if you have a more naturalistic enclosure it is kind of an eyesore. I still use newspaper a lot because I'm always behind when it comes to ordering more reptile prime, oops

Re: Anyone know any common bedding/substrate for ball pythons?

Okay, guys, I really appreciate all of your opinions and the huge help. But I feel like I need to add some info for the stuff I'm looking for:
    1. Everything that's really popular outside of Asia is basically nonexistent here. No ExoTerra, no ZooMed, no Reptile Prime, not even LLLReptile.
    2. I'm currently keeping my BP in a glass tank, so that's already a huge humidity drain, so I need something that can hold humidity really well.
    3. I currently have a theme of wood in the tank, as I have a coconut shell, a fake log, and a branch in there, so preferably, the substrate should be sort of matching.
    4. Currently I'm using newspaper, which is a huge eyesore in itself, but it probably isn't nearly as comfortable for the snake as some other substrates (*ahem* cypress mulch *ahem*). So I kinda want it to be comfortable for my BP too.

After some research, I've found out that the substrate I'm probably looking for is coconut shavings/peat. I know this new post is really asking a lot, and sorry if I'm kinda chatty in this one. I just want tk find a good substrate that I can use for as long as I have a BP.

Avoid wood ash - it would be too dusty and irritating to the snake's lungs. Wood shavings depends on the type of wood. Cocofiber is generally a decent choice and really helps with humidity and seems likely to be available to you, but it's hard for me to know what is available for you.
