Help IDing this mystery lizard!

[Tonald Drump]

So, this will be short, my little brother just caught this lizard in my aunt's backyard. He was on the ground, but he seemed comfortable with climbing. Anyone know what lizard this is?

I'm not too knowledgeable with lizards but it looks like some sort of Agamid. Can you give us some idea of locality?

My bet is on a Changeable Lizard.

Agamidae. Calotes versicolor.

....in non breeding season.....males will have a drastic color change to red/black in breeding season. They have a WIDE variety of coloring as their name suggests.


I'm sure someone knows this species better than I in case I got it wrong but everything I'm seeing corresponds to what you posted.

I live in Indonesia, so that wipes out at least some species of lizards.
