Talking Snake newbie here to say hello!

    Hi there!

I recently became interested in owning a snake and decided on the adorable ball python species for my first. After a couple months of research, I can easily say that this forum has been indefinitely helpful. I've decided to wait until the next Tinley Park NARBC expo in March before getting my new baby which gives me plenty of time to order my enclosure and supplies. Thanks to this forum, I've decided on the Animal Plastics T10 with a Pro-Heat RHP on a Herpstat. It's definitely a bigger upfront investment than I originally thought, but I want to make sure that everything is as perfect as I can make it come March. Thank you all so much for having answers to even my stupidest of questions. March can't get here fast enough even though I have yet to officially decide on a morph yet. TOO MANY CHOICES!

Welcome to the world of owning snakes. I must give you credit on your will power waiting until March to get your snake. No way I could wait that long without a severe case of the shakes. LOL. Good luck and welcome aboard.

Welcome! You've come to a great place to learn. Good on you getting everything ready for your new snake prior to it coming home as well. That will save you from a LOT of newbie headaches.

    welcome to the forum!!!

have you ever been to the Tinley Park expo?? it's a BLAST. that's where i got Pumpkin Pie this past October! i'm sure I'll be there in march, too!!!

be sure to look at the list of vendors (once available) that will be at the show and do some basic research on their businesses; this will help you know what booths to look for and who to skip, as well as pricing and what morphs they might have!

also, bring cash. cash is king, and it will give you a bit of an advantage if you decide to haggle.
