Musking Tips
ok, i was handling my Hondo Milk Snake over the weekend. everything was going fine and he hasn't musked me since he was a bb but after a few minutes of handling, he started squirming and looking for a place to hide. i shoulda put him down, but he ended up squirting me with musk and urates. i washed up but started googling better ways to remove snake musk and found this tip:
i guess that might work lol. i know about tomato juice baths when peeps get skunked so i guess ketchup soap would work.
anyway any tips or tricks for getting musked and skunked by a snake?
RIP Mamba

Re: Musking Tips
IIRC vinegar helped when my milk snake was in his juvenile delinquent phase and got me. And ketchup contains a fair amount of vinegar.

Once I washed my hand I usually rinse them with vinegar or lemon juice when I get musked, and follow with hand sanitizer (the alcohol in it take care of the rest if any smell is left)....good thing I don't get musk often.
