Does anyone here own a Pueblan?
Recently apricot Pueblans have sparked my interest but Colubrids have been an interest of the past for me primarily after owning several corn snakes and a few king snakes.
Is there anything particular about Pueblans I should know? Are they known to musk as some say? The babies seem like little monsters compared to corns.....
Thanks for your responses,
Kevin

Re: Does anyone here own a Pueblan?
So i had one temporarily while i re-homed him, he was such a douche. Super cool looking snake, but he never tamed down for me (although i didnt have him very long to try). He musked me every time i pulled him out. The biting i could stand, but the musking every. single. time. made me glad to see him go haha. That being said im sure my experience is unique and there are probably many more that are great right off the bat. And they are very cool.

Yeah I LOVE the paint jobs but this is good to know, I've heard they can be like this so thanks for your reply! The biting doesn't bother me but the musking sure does, can't stand that smell!

That color is absolutely amazing! Beautiful animal! I wonder if you get a little more of the docile nature with the king mixed in there?....I like how he's larger than a big pueblan.

Yeah possibly .. he seems so much more placid than my 4 Kings ( 2 Cali , Desert and a MBK ) and doesn't musk at all .
I only bought him for his unique looks though
To this day I can't believe the breeder actually sold him to me .
I've never seen on that comes anywhere near close to him and that includes all the 1000's online .
There will never be one with the exact paint job of course

Re: Does anyone here own a Pueblan?
I have a Pueblan and he musks all the time. I find it manageable; I just let him get it out of his system and then he can be held. Very nervous eater - I leave a frozen mouse with him and he eats at his leisure. He bit for the first time just recently. Suffice to say I will not get another one.

Azula the awesome pueblen milk snake
We have a great pueblan milk snake. She never musks, never bites and is very easy to handle. I'll have to figure out how to post pictures but honestly she looks like every other albino pueblan!
