    Identify this snake

    Hey guys I’m in desperate need to have this snake identified. I’ve attached a picture of its head and it has a black tongue and a banded tail.

    I’ll try to get some better pictures but from research it seems to be a Louisiana pine snake

    Its a species of Pituophis. Not sure of species or subspecies since it gets broken up quite a bit but the genus is for sure Pituophis. So bull snake or pine snake could be correct. If you could provide a few more photos of the whole snake I may be able to narrow it down further.

    That rostral is pretty intense so definitely Pituophis from the eastern part of their range. Bull or pine or a cross. Without location information and/or more pictures, I'm uncomfortable guessing further.
