My mom hates hognoses...

So, we have 2 ball pythons (and she's aware of how big they get) that she loves. But for some reason, she hates hognoses with a passion. She says they look poisonous (??) But she likes the size, and thier personalitys, but she doesn't like the looks I live with her still, so if she says no I have no choice and I have to respect that. But I'd there anything I could tell her to help? Thank you

All I could think of would be to write a paper about them or make a presentation?

My husband hates hognose too he just does not like their face. Bottom line we are adults and have a compromise when it comes to snakes, however you live under your mother's roof and that's different, her home, her rules and you need to respect that, consider lucky that she at least allows BP.

Also keep in mind that while rear fanged (making the delivery system poor) and having a very mild venom, hognose are still however considered a VENEMOUS species and reaction to a bite may vary. They are however no prone to bite.

Yes, she is aware they are mildly venomous. That's not really it though, she just doesn't like the looks I know it's her rules, and I'm so so thankful I for my ball python (the second girls hers, since she liked Geno so much!). She doesn't like the face and the scales... And I'm not going to argue if she says no, I'd completely be OK with that. But obviously if like her to like them and allow me to get one lol (I'd pay) So if anyone knew anything to possibly persuade her (Sorry, I didn't mean to find out harsh!)

i kind of like the idea of a presentation. if i had a kid who took the time to present an idea to me, i'd absolutely give it serious consideration.

Thank you! I just want her to understand that I am serious about this and am willing to spend my own time/money on another snake I'll need it!

Sounds like what me and my kids did for my wife. She still wasn't on board. At the end of the day stuff mysteriously showed from amazon. A thermostat one day, heat mat the next. Then a visit to the reptile show where she absolutely fell in love with the little normal girl, again mysteriously somehow on hold in my name. I believe she loves to handle her more then me now.
