When should a BP start eating once every two week?

My beep is still little, but I was wondering for future reference at what point he should start eating once every two weeks?

    Let your snake tell you.

Haha no really, once my snake started refusing to eat every week I then fed him every 10 days and he eventually he ended up only eating every 2 weeks. Sometimes I do switch him back to every 10 days of he's feeling particularly hungry, for example, after fasting for a bit, but other than that, every 2 weeks. He was around a year and 6 months when he started eating every 2 weeks.

i agree with PythonBabes' post above. once Yellow started consistently refusing food every week i decided to wait him out; around 10-14 days i noticed the typical hunger behavior/signs and have since switched him to every two weeks. Yellow was maybe around 750g when i made the switch.

Depends on your snake. Mine eats weekly and makes it known when he is hungry so for me I don't deviate from that. Occasionally over the years, he has gone off feeding in the winter for a few months but now that I am being more particular about stabilizing temps I am seeing if that was actually brumation or not.

Re: When should a BP start eating once every two week?

    Hi,

I still feed mine once per week - but I also use small rats as opposed to large or jumbo ones.

It may just be my quirk but I like to remind them eating is a good thing.

I think it's up to your beep. Mine both eat weekly. Also are you planning on breeding? I would let your beep decide.

I feed weekly as well. My growing girl who seems to be always hungry is on a 3 day cycle.

I offer pretty much all of 'em an appropriate sized meal weekly. If they refuse two weeks in a row (for no obvious reason), then I'll skip a week and offer the following week. Once they start refusing you don't want the act of refusing to become a habit so offering less often when that happens is probably in everyone's best interest.

When should a BP start eating once every two week?

My Royals al get fed weekly sometimes a day or so later ... that said I have a couple of older HC Albinos who seem to do better every 10 to 14 days ...
