    Spider wobble vs "star gazing"?

Here is an interesting question: has anyone heard of/seen/been misled by the similarlities of spider wobble and stargazing symptoms, and how did they tell the difference? I ask because when I first got my spider I was a little bit concerned about what turned out to be just wobble. I can imagine someone completely new to snakes having a bit of a rough time telling the difference between the two, or even, in an extremel case, someone needlessly having a snake put down(especially with the way owners seem jump to the conclusion of ibd any time a snake has any sort of neurological symptoms. Although I think IBD is over diagnosed, but that's a different thread all together) the difference between the two is, I think, pretty obvious to experienced keepers (for one thing im pretty sure ibd, or most ailments for that matter, don't have just one symptom) but nevertheless what are your thoughts/ comments?

Well, for one, BP's with IBD tend to get sick quickly and by the time you notice neurological deficits, they won't live to much longer. They decline rather quickly.

As morbid as that sounds to us, some people that breed or keep Boas would keep Ball Pythons near the Boa to check if the Boa had IBD. Boas can live a long time without showing any symptoms, all the while spreading the disease.

While Ball Pythons get sick and die rather quickly.

So the Ball Pythons were (are) used to determine whether the Boa carried that disease.

A Spider that wobbles will usually still eat well and live a normal life, aside from the wobble. A BP with IBD will stop eating and quickly just get worse and worse..

If the snake is still healthy, eating, and hasn't lost any weight, it's more than likely just a wobble
