    wet towel covering the screen works the best at retaining humidity. I use cypress mulch, and infrared heat only, with a layer of metallic bubblewrap insulation covering 90% of the screen, so my tank humidity stays high.
    Back when I started, I used a heating lamp and aspen, it would dry out rapidly and I had to use the wet towel method.
