    Dean Progression

So...I bought a Beep. He's a tiny 2017 hatchling and is eating mouse fuzzies.
His enclosure stats are as follows
    10 gal tank
Aspen as substrate (As soon as possible I will switch to forest floor)
Heated by a heat lamp with red bulb on a dimmer
    Hot side 88 degrees
    Cold side 82
Humidity on cold side is 72 and hot side is around 58
I have foil covering the screen top
2 hides(not including the paper towel tube running along the back if the tank)
Constructive criticism is welcomed! Please be honest.

You are doing better than most! The majority of people I see selling their ball pythons on craigslist have no clue! lol.
I would only add a couple of caves (hides), and an under tank heater on a thermostat at some point, but you may as well wait for the UTH until you have to get a bigger tank as he will outgrow the 10 gallon quite rapidly.

    Re: Dean Progression

Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on how to keep the humidity up? So far I've put foil over the top, put the water bowl under the heat lamp and am planning on changing my substrate

I have a 10 for Odyn. On the hot side I have his uth which reads 90 on the glass. His hid then a 40w red heat bulb on top. I have an accurite temp gage that is I. The front middle of the tank for ambient temp and humidity. Ambient always stays at 81, humidity stays at 65-70. I use reptile prime coco husk. Aspen will suck the moisture up so change that. I have cut a piece of cardboard to fit the dimensions of the screen top, put the lamp on it(off of course) traced around it and cut out the hole for the heat lamp. I then covered the cardboard with foil. All my temps stay the same on average. I also have fake ivy in there for him too. My water bowl is in the middle, not under my heat lamp.

I'll try Coco-husk My temps seem okay(Right?) Although they seem to from 88 to 90. My humidity has gone down to 42 since I posted last Have to deal with that as soon as possible. Poor Lil dude is probably so confused as to why its raining so much

Your temps seem ok yes. How much does your beep weigh. Get him off of fuzzies. Way to small. Hatchlimgs usually start on hoppers for 3-4 feeding them go to adult mice.
