    Talking Another Successfull Shed

I knew Shikara was getting close. About 9:15 this evening I noticed he was moving around a bit. He stuck his head out as if to say, "hey mom if you wanna watch, you better get over here." So, as I did before I watched start to finish. It's so cool watching them wiggle all around themselves. Is shedding twice in two months good or bad? I feed him a medium rat once a week.

Congrats on the shed! I still haven't gotten to see a shed yet. Both of mine do it inside their hides....litttle boogers! Shedding twice in two months isn't a bad thing. Joanna had hers shed twice 2 weeks apart. What size is Shikara?

He's approx 3 1/2 ft long and his midsection is roughly the size of my fist. The shed skin measured 4ft 2 1/2 in.

Congrats on the good shed. So far, Sobe has shed in his hide. I could see him moving around in there just barely but couldn't really see much else.

That's a good idea, but I can't even get the video camera out quick enough to catch the kids at whatever cute they're doing. I don't think I have a chance of catching the snake.

I can get 20 minutes of video on my digital camera. I'll have to remember that nest time and see if I can at least get some footage of it.

    Re: Another Successfull Shed

Congrats on the complete shed! Our 23 month old, Punky, has shed twice in 6 weeks (about 4 weeks between actual sheds). Our 6.5 month old has gone anywhere from 2 weeks to 5 weeks between sheds.
