    Interesting notes..At least to me

I weighed my 04 male for the first time ever (finally got a scale!) and he weighed in at 1250 grams. That seems extremely large for an 04, no? He eats a small rat weekly and has since he was a few months old.

I had my breeder female out at the same time as the male and she definitely had a sexual reaction to him.

Good signs for this years breeding!

    It's a good size, but I wouldn't say "extremely large" ... I have a bunch of 04's that are 1800+ grams.

Interesting though that the 03 female I picked up the other day weighed in at 350 grams. Seems that a mouse per week doesnt quite cut it...

I have a couple of 03 girls on 1 mouse per week that are in the 1200 gram range. Yours doesn't sound like she's a very consistent feeder ... or maybe hadn't been offered food too often.

She is actually an 04. I made a mistake. But she still is a lightweight. I fed her a small rat for her first meal with me and she couldnt get to it quickly enough. I think she'll make some good gains.

My breeder girl is up to around 1600 so it looks like she is ready to go again.

The 04 mousers I have are 600 - 700 grams and growing steadily.
