I advise waiting until the animal has eaten 3 consecutive meals without refusal.

He has been eating. He has been eating at the store and I just got him yesterday. He has been at Petsmart for a month.

No, you need to wait until he eats at least 3 times in a row for you in his new environment. I typically wait one month just to be sure with only cage maintenance as necessary (changing water, etc.). The idea is that he needs to get used to his new hides and environment and accept it as a "safe" place before being stressed by handling. To do that, you need to not interact with him except for feeding, changing water, etc.
Switching enclosures is a very stressful thing for a reptile and you want to add as little stress as possible... Stress will keep him from feeding and could cause illness also.
During this time you also want to watch for signs of mites or other issues that might need to be addressed.
I know it is hard. I just purchased a new BP, a hatchling, and she has eaten for me twice...is due to eat again Tuesday, but I am going to wait for at least 2 more weeks before handling to make sure she has a good start and has fully adjusted.
Currently keeping:
1.0 BCA 1.0 BCI
1.0 CA BCI 1.1 BCLs
0.1 BRB 1.2 KSBs
1.0 Carpet 0.5 BPs
0.2 cresteds 1.2 gargs
1.0 Leachie 0.0.1 BTS

Seconding that you wait until he's eaten for you 3 times. This is to ensure he eats for you constistingly and that he's comfortable in his new enviroment, as well as making sure your husbandry is on point.
Him eating for a month at Petsmart is not the same as him eating for you. He's in a whole new world now and he NEEDS time to acclimate in his new set up. You need to be patient with little beeps, any change can make them feel unsettled enough to not eat.
Especially if he was underfed at Petsmart he MAY eat for the first one or two times, but this isn't a good indication he's comfortable or fully settled. A third helps make sure he's eating because he's feeling secure enough in his new home rather than feeling starved.
Hes going to be with your for many years, so don't worry a few weeks is nothing :p Remember you're doing this for him.
