What follicle size to pair up and how long to pair?

Well last year I had my first adult female and I thought she was going to lay but I was sadly mistaken... So this year I purchased an ultrasound machine and will be monitoring follicle sizes on my females, I have two females this year that should be ready to breed (next year I should have five!). So I've heard that you should introduce the male at certain follicle sizes but there seems to be quite a bit of variation in what people do. What follicle sizes do you introduce the males and how long to you keep the males in with the females before reintroducing for the next follicle size and at what size do you stop pairing up?
