    Grrr...

Snake was shipped yesterday, scheduled to arrive today by 4:30. No delivery at 4:30. FedEx website seems to say that residential deliveries can go to 8pm. Huh? ...Whatever. Tracking showed an early am scan into Memphis, it didn't show a scan for anything OUT of Memphis until late afternoon, but sometimes the scans have been mis-matched, so I wasn't that concerned. At 5:30, there is a scan for arrival at facility at El Paso. OK, if they are still planning to deliver tonight, they might get here by 8pm, depending.

Past 8pm, still no snake. Last time I had an issue, FedEx had an option for an immediate live chat with an actual person, and the issue was resolved. Immediately.

No live chat, anymore. I got endless forms, and the wording was confusing - the terms don't always quite match. Endless questions, Submit button, Error....

$65 is a good deal when it works.
If they can't make it work, they shouldn't take my money.
Hope the snake is still ok.
This may be the last time I buy an animal long-distance.

Tomorrow, am for contacting the store. I doubt anyone is there this late, and I'm too tired to deal with it. As for FedEx, I got the WebMaster reply, "Thank you for your inquiry.."
Wow. I've had numerous things and several live animals shipped FedEx, they were the Gold Standard.

Maybe it has to do something with the recent hurricane that slammed the USA? I was going to have my future breeding male shipped this week, but the breeder and I decided to wait until after the hurricane and ship next week due to possible storm-related shipping complications.

This happened to me also. I live in southeast Texas and the shipping was delayed. Luckily for me the snakes actually made it to my local fedex and a fellow reptile lover dug through hundreds of boxes to find them for me.. Just call first thing tomorrow, they are usually pretty helpful. They told me that their main hub in Tennessee was shut down due to Harvey for a bit. I definitely wouldn't order anything else for a month or so..

Yeah, the shipment was originally scheduled to go out a day earlier. The vendor called me and said there would be a delay, because of flooding, and Memphis was a mess. I was fine with that. I said, don't ship until it is safe to do so, I'm not in any hurry. As long as the snake was waiting at the store, I wasn't concerned. I am concerned that the animal got stuck in Memphis heat (maybe in a temperature controlled bldg, maybe not) all day, and is still stuck in that box now.

If FedEx wasn't prepared to deal with a backlog, they should haven't taken the shipment.
I just hope it survives, and isn't suffering too much.

Fed Ex finally rolled in at about 1pm. Trans Pecos snake looks good. Bigger than I expected (maybe a bit on the skinny side, or maybe I feed my others too much??). He is slowly exploring. Love how he moves. I took a first over-exposed pic (can't post, don't know how, don't have the cable, and can barely work a digital camera as it is), and he was sticking out his tongue.

Will have to think of a name.
    Considering Ferdinand.
