    Behavior question

    Hey guys it's me again!

Just an update, noodle has been doing good, comfy on his hide until tonight, last Wednesday he ate his first f/t like a champ, my question is, tonight when I got back from work I saw him wandering around his tank, being very curious

Could he be hungry again? Or should I wait until next Wednesday to try and test it out, he's not very fond of being out of his fancy cave, so I was very surprised to see him wandering around for a couple hours now... anyone with the same situation?

    Thank you in advance!

You fed this last wed? As in the 13th? And not due to eat until the 20th? Just making sure you're not skipping a week. Do you know when he was fed before you got him? He may still be on that schedule so he thinks there is food coming. My snakes know feeding day. They greet me every wed, out of their hides waiting.....lol and some snakes roam at night a little.

    Re: Behavior question

Ever since I got him he's been eating every week on a Wednesday, and it's barely Saturday night that's why I'm surprised!

one of my snakes wanders around a lot, he is just a curious guy, and he loves to come out of his cage and explore the house.

I'm feeding him 17g mouse he's 110grams, the temps are good 85-88 on the warm, 78-82 on the cooler side, and humidity is always 60 to 75

It sounds like he's still pretty new to you, in addition to being young. Part of getting used to a new environment is coming out to explore it. It could be curiosity about the new digs, or it could be that it's still just unfamiliar and he's trying to escape the strange place.
Ball pythons actually are not pet rocks. They do come out to poke around, and are most likely to be found active in the evening and morning (although occasionally they'll wake up other times too). Part of coming to a new house might also be getting adjusted to a slightly different photoperiod because you turn your lights on and off at different times of day than his breeder did.

And it can take them surprisingly long to get used to new things and new places. So be patient, it's not surprising that he hasn't settled into a regular routine yet.

Mine is a very active girl in the night. Sleeps all day in hides. Maybe he just wants to explore and is getting comfortable.
