Uhh... Does he just want it darker...?
Hi! I havent been on here in a while but I have a new question for you guys. My BP sometimes will hide his head. Like he will be curled up in a ball but instead of having his head sit on top he will hide it under his body so I can't see it. Is this normal? Is he scared? Is it too bright? Is he hot? Cold? Just weird? I really appreciate the help!

typical ball python behavior. the head is the most important part of them, so they know to hide it away when scared. nothing to worry about; keep doing what you're doing.

OK thank you! Is there anything I'm doing that could be scaring him?

He's absolutely stunning!!! I actually leave him alone a lot. Perhaps my cats come in and freak him out when I'm not paying attention. I will start closing my door!!

I've seen that when visitors have asked to see my BP and he gets taken out too often. Probably not totally adjusted yet, mine eats like a horse despite doing this. give them time and see how things go.
