3 Successful Feedings: Time to Hold

After 3 weeks of successful feedings, I was ready to see and hold my BP. Plus I got a chance to finally do a full clean of the cage. He weighed in at 221g which is up from 196g. He was little shy as I was admittedly nervous myself taking him out and holding him.

Haha......I may have found a tiny nugget but I'm not 100% sure it was poop. Nothing was under his hide. I was worried there would be some poop or even worse a regurgitated mouse

Beautiful snake. With time the two of you will develop trust for one another. Keep handling him and he will gain confidence in being out and about.

Thank you! I think he's absolutely stunning.

Appreciation the words of wisdom. I feel like I've built up my confidence watching millions of handling videos which I'm trying to apply when handling. But each time, I see his neck bend in an S-like curve, I immediately get a little tense and wonder if he's gonna strike for the 1st time. So far he seems super submissive. I left him lay on the scale for a good 5-10 minutes while I cleaned his cage and he barely moved.

The one phrase that a snake keeper is going to say at some point is "Oh :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:" especially if you ever get careless.
