    Wookie Gene Mystery

Three years and we have not produced a super--that we know of. This wookie gene confounds us. It seems to be a pattern destroyer, especially ventrally, but it enhances yellows sometimes, enhances blacks sometimes, and sometimes it causes partial leucism. We get a lot of questions about the gene, but we're still trying to figure it out. Combined with yellowbelly or het red axanthic, it doesn't do much at all. This is what it does when combined with other genes:

Wookie (this is our breeder male)

    Pastel Wookie

    Butter Wookie

    Champagne Wookie

    Wookie Blast

How are the ratios? Could it be poly-genetic?

We've considered it, and to determine that, it will take a lot more breedings. Thanks.

How many babies of what types have been produced from wookie x wookie matings? The NPA Project on Genetics booklet recommends at least 50 babies from this type of mating.

I think the name is a little silly but i'm actually pretty impressed with wookie. I really like all of them but that wookie champ is awesome.
