Yellow Anakonda Baby- i need a few instructions
Hi. I will get a small yellow anaconda boy. I will raise him up in a rack with an overhead thermo foil. How should be the temps in his tube? The tube is 16 inch x 14 inch x 7 inch so it will be more an ambient temp then a hot and a cool end. What temperature should I use for him?

I can provide him in the tube with 87 degrees . Because of the size of the tube it is an ambient temp -no hotspot . Is this ok for this species?

Suggest you read this caresheet...
Have you thought about how big that species is going to get? That 26x14x7 inch tub isnt gonna last long... have you considered the requirement this snake has for it to live healthy over the long term? I have never heard of a species w that size potentual to be living in a tub forever... species also likes swimming.. can a tub provide this? They need a basking spot as well. And have humidity requirements.
Things to think about before bringing home a giant.

Re: Yellow Anakonda Baby- i need a few instructions
Hi. This will just be his baby tube for a short time. He will have a bigger tube when he grows. When it is time he will get a 6,2,6 enclosure with a water part and a land part. Heated by a RHP.
And of course I did read this datasheet- but this is for the grown up snake in a big enclosure like mine will be when he has grown. I need temp requirements for his baby tube.

Baby and adult requirements are the same. As far as temps and humidity.

That's a lot of snake for experienced keepers.
That seems like TOO MUCH snake for someone with basic husbandry questions.
Are you sure this is a good idea? Are you thinking about the long-term best interest of the animal??
It really wouldn't be fair to the animal to bring it home unless you are sure you can provide the animal a proper home for the duration of it's lifetime.
Just something to think about...

Anacondas are large, thick-bodied snakes that love their water. I give mine enough room in the enclosure for a warm/basking area at 88*F, a cool side at 78-80*F, and a soaking tub in addition to a smaller dish for drinking water. The soaking tub should hold enough water that the snake can submerge itself and with sides high enough that it only needs to be half full so when the snake climbs in it doesn't displace the water into the rest of the enclosure. You will also find your snake poops/pees in the soaking tub regularly so get several, so you can quickly replace a soiled one with a clean one.
The tub size you are planning will work for a few months but I would start looking at upgrades now, as before you know it the tub housing the snake now will become its soaking tub.

Thanks all for your opinions. I decided to not take the anaconda- instead of I choose a baby BBC Kahl line.
