Very nice! I am glad you got such a great looking girl. I can sympathize with you on double recessive projects. Mine is going on 7 plus years without any lasting results (I actually hit on a Hypo Pied, but due to inbreeding, I think, I lost the rest of her clutchmates before they made it out of the egg, and she died three days after coming out of the egg). Seeing your work payoff is encouraging.

That's unfortunate, personally I'd like to see another clutch before I start thinking there's issues like that. I have a cinny het lav pair that have had nothing but problem offspring, this year is my last year breeding them if the offspring have issues again.

Thanks. I was thinking of possibly doing that, but I have a male Leopard 100% het Hypo 66% het Pied that is the grandson of the the female Pied het Hypo. Even though the odds wouldn't be as good to use him as it would to use the Pastel Hypo 100% het Pied (her son), due to the issues with the clutch this year and wanting to test out the Leopard 100% het Hypo 66% het Pied, I think I am going to switch it up.
I am guessing that the problems were due to inbreeding because of 15 clutches that have hatched so far, this is the only clutch to show any problems and I haven't observed any weird temperature fluctuations in the incubator, so, by process of elimination, I was thinking that inbreeding was the most likely cause.
I generally have tried to avoid inbreeding whenever possible, so being able to use a grandson of hers (that was sired by another breeder's male), should give me the best chance of doing that.
