This is only exciting because it took me 5 years.

Got 0.4 dbl het hypo clown females 5 years ago. After absorbed eggs, slugs, and a 2 egg clutch, finally got some good clutches this year. It was nice to finally see this girl crawl out from a pastel hypo het clown x dbl het. Missed on the pastel but still a dbl recessive. Still got a 5 egg clutch that dropped last week, so maybe theres a pastel hypo clown in there, at least I can hope lol. For now I wait for the 1st shed to see those true colors.

Congrats on the success. Next time some human clown posts about why does a double recessive cost more that $100 when both morphs are so common, we just send them to this post so they can appreciate the effort involved.

Very exciting 5 years or not! Congrats! Looks like she's going to be a beauty.

I feel you on the dbl recessive struggle, I originally started working with two recessive morphs with the intentions of trying to make dbl Visiuals but after seeing how much work each clutch is and looking at the odds and easiest way to get there, well there is no easy way and it takes a ton of dedication and patience. My plans have slightly changed because I just dont know I could handle odds not going my way after years of waiting. I'd still love it on the back burner, that happens when it happens but I sure can't focus on it just so I can keep my sanity lol.

Anyway, sorry for getting away from your accomplishment, just trying to explain how I can understand how rewarding it must feel. Congratulations!
