    Aggressive Retic

    Hey guys!
Today i picked up my 15' CB11 Male retic, and i must say, he's pretty crazy when it comes to taking him out of his cage, very aggressive.
Any chances of taming a adult snake? My tiger female is puppy dog tame
    Thanks, Jacob!

Define "crazy". Is he flinging coils? Biting? Charging at you? Striking the enclosure? If he does bite does he wrap or is it a defensive strike?

Is this behavior a change from what his prior owner observed?

Charging and striking, the previous owner told me he didn't handle him much, i have a tiger female which i have hooked trained, she sees the hook = feeding response turns off, i don't think that taming this retic would be easy, I had to cover up my glass in the enclosure because he was striking at it.

    Gee I wonder why...???

I hope that attitude was disclosed before you bought it.

If you're on Facebook ask in The Retic Nation Facebook Group because a few folks there have tamed WC imported adults so I imagine the methods would be the same.

Hopefully you also have a helper whenever you have to deal with this animal.

From what I have heard - it is possible to tame down an adult snake - although it is indeed far more difficult to do so

I would, though bear in mind that hook training teaches your snake whether or not he's getting fed versus not fed, it's not really designed to decrease aggression.
