Looks like rubbing to me. Welcome to the world of retics lol. I would put some neosporin with NO pain killer on a Q-Tip and just dab the spot once and then let it heal and try to find where he is rubbing at and eliminate it.

Usually you can just let little scrapes be and they will heal fine and clear up on the next shed but that ones looks a little deep so like i said, i would just dab it with some Neosporin with NO pain killer just in case.

They generally rub if the temps, humidity or other husbandry is wrong like not feeling secure etc. Also if a male is in breeding season and wants a girlfriend, they sometimes will destroy their faces.

Oh and I forgot to add, they will also push if hungry lol. Jacob and I can attest to that first hand....many times lol.

My kalatoa girl used to get the same spot every now and then when she was smaller. It went away with sheds and haven't seen it in probably a year. I think it was just a weird dry spot or something. She never gets that spot from pushing recently and only ever had it before she turned into a pusher. I'd say just keep an eye on it but I imagine it will go away with the next shed
