    ProPanels RHP wiring help!

So I've assembled my AP cage where Animal Plastics installed my RHP for me from Pro Products, but it seems I need to do the wiring myself. I didn't get any instructions for it sent to me and I'm not sure how to approach this. Can anyone explain or link me to instructions on how to attach the wire to plug?

From what I understand is it that I have to thread the cable through black metal bracket into plug? Then close the plug so the metal spikes pierce the cable casing and make contact with interior wire? Is that correct?

Pics of the plug in question below

Yep. Do the exact thing that you suspected to do, thread the wire through the plug and clip it shut. You may need a pair of pliers or channel locks to clip it fully closed. Also the little white caps are for the two holes in the panel itself where the mounting hardware is fed through into the ceiling of the cage.

Ok cool! That's exactly what I needed to know! Thank you SO much! I wasn't sure and was afraid I'd somehow mess it up lol

Nope, you had it right. I just took some cell phone pics of mine to show you how it should look but you already got your answer.

Actually I'd still love to see pics! Makes me feel way better whenever I see visual examples

Like both JM and BCR said, you had it right and you will definitely need a small pair of channel locks to clip it closed....or I'm just a weakling. Just remember dont put the plug on until you have the wire fed through the hole or you are going to have a fun time removing the clip or making a huge hole lol.

You guessed correctly...agree to have a pair of pliers or channel locks as that style can be tough to crimp with just your fingers.

I talked with Bob about the plugs and wish he provided a straight plug - it would work better when plugging into a multi-port Herpstat. I bought new plugs at Home Depot that fit perfect.

Because you said you like pictures...LOL

vs the alternative I just mocked up for you with my spare Herpstat4....I even went so far as to buy a 15' power cord from monoprice.com so I didn't need an extension cord. I get a little OCD sometimes. I couldn't imagine having to wire a Herpstat6 with adapters.
