Thanks. Louie is finally settling in and not so shy anymore. BCL seem to be a really shy snake compared to BCIs and BCC. He was really keen on watching my face the first few months i had him lol. Guess he wanted to make sure i wasnt going to eat him. Now he is much more curious and likes to climb up on my neck and sit there or try and perch on top of my head.

    Very nice indeed sauzo
What sort of size is he, mine are two this April.my male is so much smaller than my female, he’s more on the shy side than her too , both have never shown any sort of aggressive behaviour and love being out . She just think your going to feed her all the time, lol
He will only drop feed in the dark too she will eat anything ,any time ,anywhere

    Thanks.

Louie is almost 3 feet. And yeah he was really shy. Only have him so cant compare it to another BCL but compared to my BCI and BCC, he was much more shy and took a lot longer to come out of his shell.

He did take 2 half hearted shots at me when i took him out of the bag. The breeder was surprised as she said he was really laid back. Figured the shipping probably really stressed him or FedEx drop kicked the box or something like that.

As for feeding, he is like my other snakes and just a garbage can. He eats anything, anytime. When i had him in a T8, i would have to lure him out from under the shelf so i could slide a piece of cardboard under him so he didnt eat substrate. I would just hang the mouse and he would stretch out from under the shelf lol. I just kept slowly pulling it further and further and he would just follow it haha. Finally when i got him about to the midway point in the cage, i would let him grab it and then slide the cardboard under him while holding the mouse by the tail with him all wrapped around it.

He was shy but not when it came to food. He was always a good strong eater.

Thanks sauzo,I don’t feel too bad now I’ve just measured him and he is 3ft On serp widgets ,I know your male is a few months younger so my little Etso must be getting the nutrients he needs, The males must just be a lot smaller. I measured the female last week and she 4.5ft long such a massive difference between the two

I dont trust serpwidgets lol. I used to use it but then i would get all kinds of different measurements for the same snake. That thing is too dependent on getting the perfect pic and doing everything perfect or you could be off by feet on your snake lol.

Louie was born July 2016. I would have to look back in the record to see an actual day but he'll be 2 years old this July.

And i imagine Louie will take off here in a month or two as he just got bumped up to weaned rats. Gina is already taking off from the upsize lol.

Me too. Caesar loves to periscope off his litter dam lol.

And yeah, BCL have so many unique things to them like their head and their bellies. Rosey and Gina have speckling too on their bellies but nothing like Louie.
