    Coastal Having A Feed.

Jewel decided it was time to eat.

This was not the ideal feeding process. I had a live refusal from the royal and I let her go at it. I'm a little more comfortable when she attacks from the perches but I like to feed frozen at almost all costs to avoid injury.

She made very quick work of the rat. It never saw her coming.

Love the arboreal qualities of the morelia species.

Sounds like a one shot, one kill. That's always makes for a good feed.

    You know it!

I'm sure the sky hides provide and equally exciting feeding experience.

If I feed live, other than the royal, I make sure all the snakes are in perches.

That said, the royal hasn't missed a head shot in 5 years. which is about 10 meals LOL!

    But she's dead on.

The carpet is crazy. she dangles down and follows the prey for a bit and lets it get into just the right spot, then,, BaaaM!

Those pictures make it look a lot more shallow. Two feet of ceiling is actually pretty tall when you see it from where I sit.

    Congrats
How do you have those branches held up? Are they nailed in, or something else?

The large branch which is very hard to see, but you can in the bottom pic, is in a big V style closet rod mount, the others are in V style HDPE (plastic) V perches that Ed Lilley makes and sends me with my cages.

I can take down all the perches and remove everything from any of these cages in less than 35 seconds.

Nothing other than the backgrounds, lights, heat panels and the perch holders themselves is permanently mounted.
