The gang checking out their T25s

Well i put Caesar, Vicky and Rosey in their T25s. They seem to more or less enjoy them i guess. Caesar is cruising all over but Vicky checked it out for about 30 mins and now is just relaxing again haha. Rosey is in shed so she went to put her head in the hide and just lay there lol. Finally got to put my jumbo hides from RBI to use too as they were too small for the T10s but fit the T25s perfect.

Re: The gang checking out their T25s

What heat are you running? I have two boaphiles, and i love them but man were they expensive (well one, the other was used). Eventually im going to need an 8 foot for sonny, so im looking at animal plastics for the rest of my snakes. I was thinking of getting 3 T-8s, to get all four of my snakes who arent in pvc (i would get a divider in one T-8 for the bp's) out of tubs and into displays. This way i would have the 8 foot on the bottom, with two 4 ft side by side on top of that, with the last ap next to the boaphile on top of that, with the final boaphile on top of the 1st boaphile.

I guess the point of me asking is to find out if is actually going to save me money as im looking at pro products rhp's and havent seen an actual price but hear they are expensive.

I use flexwatt for all my cages. But i als keep my house fairly warm at around 78F. Yes i know, a lot of people would die but i am not a fan living in a cold house. I like my heat

I too priced Boaphiles and for the price, they just arent worth it. I got all 3 T25s with sliding glass doors, shelves, locks, LED lighting, flexwatt, and the 8 inch bottom stand plus shipping for just under $2000. Only downside is you have to assemble them and seal them but they are easy to put together and the Lexel they send is like freakin concrete once it sets lol. I tried to reseal one of the cages and it took sweat, tears, swearing and a metal putty knife to get the old Lexel off.

Plus Ali is awesome to deal with. I had 6 of my LEDs go wonky on me and Ali replaced them all free of charge and sent next day even after a year of owning the cages. My T25s have worked well so far but one is kind of dimming lol. Ali ended up sending me their prototype water resistant ones.

I also am maybe going to get a T65 96x30x18 with the full trimmings for Caesar is his fat behind keeps growing next summer. I'm sure he will be fine in a T25 though but i tend to spoil my pets and try and give them cages that are at the very least as long as 3/4 of their length.

From what Ali told me, the T65s will probably take 2 people to lift. The T25s she said takes 1 or 2 people. i was able to stack all 3 of my T25s by myself but the top one was a serious heave ho project lol.

As for Pro Product RHPs, they are spendy but not really by that much more. i believe my old PH3 65 watt ones were $110 shipped.

Bottom line, i love AP cages. They are very sturdy, easy to clean, have a lot of thought put into them with nice smoothed out edges and corners, routed channels for t-stat probes on the bottom for flexwatt, guide pins for locking cages together and Ali is awesome to deal with. Only bad point is their LEDs lol but they take care of you if there is a problem.

And here is a fairly new updated pic of the set up. I have since put my extra T10 on a table to the left of the 4x2 stack getting it ready for my moon or snow boa

Re: The gang checking out their T25s

Answered all of my follow up questions. Awesome, thank you for the input. I think im pretty much sold on ap now, ive been looking at a lot of reviews and they seem to be top of the line with amazing prices. I dont run my house quite as warm, typically between 72-76 in my snake room at any given time so im not sure if id be able to run strictly off of flexwatt, but i do have plenty laying around to give it a shot. I think the think i had liked most about the boaphile was the single dropdown door, but ap has everything else i want. Im looking at 665 shipped for the 3 t-8s, except id need a new thermostat. But thats a helluva deal to have all my snakes in nice fancy housing.

    Thanks again sauzo!

You know, i used to like drop down 1 piece doors too....but then i got a retic. You have no idea how many times a sliding door has saved me from Caesar's ravenous baby appetite lol. He has literally sucked onto a glass door with mouth fully open like that fachugger at the beginning of aliens 2 in the glass tube that tried to suck onto Burkes face. Plus it helps out a ton also in the fact i can just open the door opposite where the bitey end is for my snakes. When they smell food, they tend to bite first and taste second which if I'm not quick enough has ended with a bruised hand from my sunglow lol. I got lucky and dodged Caesar a week or so ago by jumping back but i tripped backwards over a chair lol.
