Moving 600 miles with 3 snakes

So I'm moving in two weeks with my 3 snakes. Snake bags, tied, packed into well cushioned boxes, out of direct sunlight, in the cab of the truck with me, the whole nine yards as though they were being shipped. My real question here... I'm leaving early in the morning for about a 9 hour drive. I have temporary tubs and herpstat regulated heat tape to house everyone in once we get to the destination and start getting their enclosures set back up. Would they be fine going into their respective bags the night before hitting the road and staying until we get to the destination or would your recommend bagging them that morning right before getting in the truck? Would be an additional 8 hours or so in bags if I packed everyone the night before. Just want to minimize stress on my critters. I've only had to move one snake in the past which is much easier than three. Thanks in advance y'all!

I'd probably put them in their bags the morning of your trip but you should be fine either way.

I'd put them in jsut before leaving too. Is the problem that you need to dismantle their enclosers? If so, can you put them in the tubs they'll be going in in your new home for the night, then into the bags? Hope your move goes well

Yeah, was just trying to minimize the number of different enclosures they were in and out of during the move but I have a tendency to overthink things like this. That was my first thought too, Put them in their temporary tubs for the night while dismantling their enclosures and then bag them and hit the road that next morning. Then they're only bagged for under 12 hours hopefully. Thanks for the replies folks and thanks for the well wishes!

I would bag them in the morning as well to ensure they're as well-hydrated as possible. Give them the last few hours to drink.

I wouldn't feed again between now and the trip if they are adults to reduce the risk of a messy accident while in transit.

Only one, 8yr old BP, is an adult. The two super dwarfs are 16 and 17 months old. The 17 month old will beat the hell out of her face from pushing if she doesn't have one more meal between now and the move, though there is a chance she'll go into shed between now and then and could go longer. She very predictably will empty her bowels 5-6 days after feeding, unless she goes into shed in which case she'll hold it in until her shed is complete.

Feed the last meal a minimum of seven days prior to the trip, ten is better. With all of the bouncing around in a car, snakes can tend to empty their bowels regardless of their normal schedule in doing so if there is anything there that they can empty. Put some paper towels in the snake bags to absorb urine and bring extra bags or pillowcases to swap out if needed. Also keep a roll of paper towels and some plastic bags on hand for cleaning any messes.

Thanks y'all! Gonna plan to put them all in temporary tubs the day before leaving, bag and pack them the morning of, and then back into tubs while I get their enclosures set back up. Fingers crossed for no shed cycles until after relocating!
