Joining two wooden vivs together - your thoughts please !
I have a 4' long and 24" high , wooden viv and I also have a spare viv around 30" long and 24" high but I'm contemplating joining them together to make more room . Can't decide wether to add it on to the cool end and make a nice long viv ( although space is tight ) OR maybe stick it on TOP of the cool end which would still provide extra space but also give the snake some exercise ??
Any thoughts ??

What Shane said...
I think the idea sounds cool, but the species of snake would be important when deciding whether to add height vs adding floor space.
Are you thinking of moving one of your current animals into the double enclosure or adding a new animal to your collection?
I'm interested to see which direction you go and looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Ok, gotcha. I don't know a lot about that species.
Does he/she tend to climb in the current enclosure?

He's fairly active and inquisitive - I have him in the garden sometimes climbing around upturned wooden chairs ..

I'd personally give the burm more floor space rather than height. But it's your snake, you know it better than I do:p

If you want floor area to explore and not stretch out, you could stack them vertically with a couple tunnel connections made from appropriate size PVC fittings (as opposed to removing the bottom of one and the top of the other).
